On December 9, 2008, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the City of Sanibel is sponsoring the Lee Memorial Blood Center’s Bloodmobile at the Sanibel Recreation Center, 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road.
Every 2 seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. Shortages of blood types usually occur during the summer and winter holidays. One donation can help save the lives of 3 people. The Lee Memorial Health System needs blood to meet local area needs.
