Sanibel Residents Can Stay “Fit 4 Life” Through Complimentary Health Screenings
The City of Sanibel Recreation Center is conducting complimentary health screening throughout the month of December. All Health Screenings are open to the public.
CHR ANGEL HOLIDAY GIFTS
The City of Sanibel is collecting holiday gifts for the children who reside in the Below Market Rating housing on Sanibel managed by Community Housing Resources, Inc. The children range in age from infant to 18 years.
“Healthy Hearts” Blood Pressure Screening & Workshop at the Sanibel Recreation Center
Wednesday, December 3rd from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. the Lee County Health Department will be conducting blood pressure screenings and an informative workshop related to cardiovascular health.

On December 9, 2008, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the City of Sanibel is sponsoring the Lee Memorial Blood Center’s Bloodmobile at the Sanibel Recreation Center, 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road.

On Monday, December 1st. Sanibelians will celebrate the First Anniversary of the Recreation Center with a free concert by the BIG Arts Band followed by a celebration ceremony, singing of Happy Birthday and Cake.

The Sanibel Police Department is investigating two burglaries in two days. The Sanibel Police Department received a call at approximately 10:15 a.m., on Wednesday, November 26th, 2008 from 200 Periwinkle Way, Lighthouse Point Condominiums regarding a burglary in progress.
