Tips on Searching Sanibel Codes
- Using the search engine display at the top left of the Municipal Code link, type in a word or words of interest and then click search.
- Results will come up with the highlighted word or words included in the search.
- Also, offered on the right side of the webpage are keywords that will help to refine your search.

You can access specific City Codes using an index in the left pane, or you can use the site's search tool. See note at right for search tips.
The Sanibel Code may not reflect new ordinances or amendments to existing ordinances enacted by City Council that have not yet been codified. These new ordinances or amendments are posted at the top of the index in the left pane and at the bottom of the right column. Please be advised that there is an approximate five to seven day processing time between legislation being enacted and it being posted on the Municipal Code Corporation website.
